Elburg, Gelderland, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 747860
Provided by: Erfgoed Gelderland
This route also leads from Hanzestad to Hanzestad, starting in Elburg and ending in Hattem. The route starts flat, on the former Zuiderzee bottom, but in the distance the lateral moraine behind which Hattem is located is already visible. That embankment was once raised by a glacier in one of the ice ages, during which the IJssel valley was scoured out and sand, peat and clay were pushed aside.
