Gelderland 3 | The head of Gelderland: Elburg – Hattem

This route also leads from Hanseatic City to Hanseatic City, starting in Elburg and ending in Hattem. The route starts flat, on the former Zuiderzee bottom, but in the distance the moraine behind which Hattem lies is visible. That wall was once raised by a glacier during one of the ice ages, whereby the IJsseldal was eroded and sand, peat and clay were pushed aside.
