Round Utrecht

A bike ride is quite difficult for me, because I like walking. But I knew right away that it had to be a trip through the city of Utrecht. Because it is a beautiful city and interesting to see. 

We make a round and start at the literal highlight, the cathedral square. Next to the highest church tower in the Netherlands, via the Lutheran Church and the Cathedral, we leave the city center and drive through the Wilhelmina Park to the Rietveld Schröder House. I worked for years at the provincial office of the Reformed Church and had a view of this house. 

And then via a few highlights of the Dutch waterline we drive back into Utrecht a little further south. Past the mill on the Kanaalstraat (don't forget to get something tasty from one of the Turkish bakers here). And if you feel like it, you can come and have a coffee at Galjoenstraat 5 (where I live). 

And now back into the city, via the other windmill of Utrecht and the Jacobikerk, back to the Domplein.
