A nature tour near Bergen op Zoom

In the countryside of Bergen op Zoom you will experience a beautiful day of cycling in the varied nature. You will find extensive forests and estates, but also wide polders. First you cycle to Landgoed Lievensberg, where you cycle between fragrant pine trees. The adjacent Zoomland was a large swamp in the Middle Ages. Now there is a damp forest with old oak and birch avenues running through it. Further on you cycle through the estate de Wouwse Plantage. Originally this was a peat bog, in 1504 it was transformed into the first production forest in the Netherlands. In Huijbergen you will see the Johanna, a corn mill from 1862.
