On foot through Landgoed Waardenburg and Neerijnen

In the Betuwe there are two beautiful estates near the Waal: Waardenburg and Neerijnen. Put on your walking shoes for a wonderful walk, where you also walk through the Betuwe.

Castle Waardenburg
You will find a wonderfully invigorating tranquility here, while you walk along the fields, grasslands and orchards. In Waardenburg you pass the idyllic surroundings of Kasteel Waardenburg. The current castle dates from the seventeenth century, the thatched corn mill from 1780.

Neerijnen Castle
You walk along De Kil, an old river course that is lined with willow pilot whales. In Neerijnen you pass a few monumental old farms. There is also a beautiful church from 1865. Landgoed Neerijnen has a history that goes back to the fourteenth century. The current country house was built around 1600, what a picture! In the polder you can get a breath of fresh air and clear your head.
