Description
A day of walking on the Veluwe? Then put on your walking shoes for a route through the old Sprielderbos. Set off nice and early to enjoy the freshness and tranquility to the maximum.
Dancing trees
The route starts at Familierestaurant de Wildebras. From here you can walk straight into the Sprielderbos. One of the oldest and most beautiful forests in the Netherlands. A real primeval forest, where nature is largely allowed to take its course. You will see, among other things, beeches with crooked trunks. They remained standing because they are unsuitable for timber construction. In the mist they look like dancing trees.
Big Spire
You will also pass the Groot Spriel estate. The country house, built in neo-Renaissance style, dates from 1880. There are also some beautiful characteristic farms on your route. Koudhoorn is an agricultural enclave, the landscape here consists of a mix of fields, grasslands and small forests. Back in the Sprielderbos you immediately experience that deep silence again. Ideal for charging the battery. Have something delicious in restaurant De Wildebras.
