From Garderen through the Gelderse Vallei

This route takes you through the forests of the Veluwe and through the Gelderse Valley. A route with two faces: forests and meadows.

Puurveense Mill
The route starts at Bospark de Wervelwind. From here you drive straight through the Sprielderbos, followed a little later by the Boeschoterbos. Warm up your legs while you ride along the cycle path between the many types of trees. It's so quiet here! On the edge of Kootwijkerbroek you pass the Puurveense Mill. This flour mill burned down in 1964, but was rebuilt in 2016.

The Hessen Hut
According to a certain calculation, the geographical center of the Netherlands is located in the Lunterse Bos. You drive up the Goudsberg, a hill on which the Hessenhut Lookout Tower stands: what a beautiful panorama! Cycling along the edge of the Wekeromse Zand you look out over forest and fields, what a change. In this region you will see some beautiful thatched farms. Further on you drive into the Loobos, followed by the Boeschoterbos. The Veluwe is never boring!
