Cycling through the Belgian-Dutch border area between Turnhout and Tilburg offers you a glimpse of authentic Brabant. You will find vast forests, tranquility and the proverbial Belgian and Brabant geniality.

Regional forests
The route starts at VVV Tourism Ravels. Here you will find all the information to make your stay in this region a wonderful memory. First you cycle through Ravels, a beautiful village where you can still see some old farms. In Ravels you can see the Nachtegaal der Maatvennen, a corn mill from 1869. A little later you cycle into the Gewestbossen. Here you can enjoy the silence and the natural beauty.

Estate de Utrecht
The Turnhouts Vennengebied is a beautiful wide and open nature reserve. You will see heaths, small forests and bird-rich meadows. You cross the border to cycle through the Brabant countryside. Just across the border in Belgium you pass through Poppel: a beautiful and cozy village. You cross the border with the Netherlands again, this time you drive through the woods of Landgoed de Utrecht. Back in Ravels you can grab a terrace.

The border municipality of Ravels consists of 3 sub-municipalities: Ravels, Weelde and Poppel. Every inhabitant of Ravels is proud of its forests, lanes, fens and country roads. The history of the forest and the educational activity exhibition can be found in the Boshuis. There is no lack of greenery, but also a number of remarkable sights such as the Arbeid Adelt mill, the town hall of Poppel and the Kiosk, the old center of Weelde on the H. Hartplein with the beautiful avenue and the old fortress moat.
