Walking through the Gulpdal

Between Euverem and Slenaken it is nice to walk in the Limburg hills. With this route you can taste the natural beauty, the views and the rich cultural history. You walk through the hills on car-free roads and footpaths. Here you can enjoy the view over vast grasslands and wooded slopes. In Slenaken you can take a break at Hotel de Plank. In the village you will see some beautiful old farms, the Sint Remigius Church dates from 1783. A little later you will walk through the Gulpdal, one of the most beautiful stream valleys in the Netherlands. At Beutenaken you take a short excursion through the sloped forest, after which you return to the flower-rich grasslands along the Gulp. Here you pass Karsveld Castle and the Groenendaalsmolen, a former water mill from 1850. A beautiful route full of variety!
