The Hague is easy to explore on foot. This city walk takes you from the Zuiderpark through the old city centre and through the city nature.
Green dune edge
The route starts at Parkoers, a lunchroom in the beautiful Zuiderpark. This park was built in the interbellum and is considered the first Dutch public park. A little later you walk through two other green areas: the Westduinpark and the Bosjes van Poot. It is nice and quiet to walk here in the lee of the city. The Scheveningse Bosjes is also a special city park. This forest area originally dates back to the fourteenth century!
Long Forewood
In the city centre you can just taste the history. There are so many beautiful buildings to see here: the Hotel Des Indes, the mansions on the Lange Voorhout that was built in the fifteenth century, Het Pageshuis, Paleis Kneuterdijk. Take plenty of time for your walk, so you can see everything properly!
