So important that Johanna van Beieren even granted city rights to it. At the end of the sixteenth century, the town was given earthen ramparts, which have been preserved on the north and east sides of the town.
Flour mills
During your walk you will come across two corn mills. First you pass the remarkably small Windlust from 1935. Later you walk past De Haan from 1724. In the protected cityscape of Brouwershaven you see many eighteenth-century houses. The town hall, which originally dates back to the fourteenth century, is located on the Markt. The Waag was built in 1646. From the Havendijk you have a beautiful view over the marina and the Grevelingenmeer.
