Enjoy Schouwen-Duiveland

You will find plenty of peace and space in the polders and along the banks of Schouwen-Duiveland. Here you can get some fresh air. And soak up cultural history!

Eastern Mill
The route starts just outside Bruinisse. This village was founded in the fifteenth century, after the then island of Duiveland was diked on the east side. Little of the original old center has been preserved due to shelling by the Allies in 1945. In Oosterland you cycle past the Oosterlandse Molen, a flour mill from 1752.

Historical Zierikzee
Zierikzee is a beautiful old town. Thanks to the many monumental buildings (more than 500!), you will have little trouble experiencing the atmosphere of a bygone era. You will pass, among other things, the medieval North and South Harbor Gates, two of the three remaining city gates of Zierikzee. Den Haas is a mill from 1727. Further on you drive through Dreischor, the old ring around the church has been beautifully preserved here.
