Walking tour of Zoelen: along the mill and castle

From the starting point you walk to Zoelen, a beautiful old village on the Linge. Here you can take a look at the largely white plastered Stefanus Church. Walking along the Molenstraat you look out over the polders along the Linge, one of the longest rivers that originate in the Netherlands. You pass the Korenbloem, a flour mill from 1775. In the countryside you can enjoy the farmlands and orchards. Around Zoelen Castle is a beautiful park in the English landscape style. The beautiful estate is open to the public. Nearby you pass Aldenhaag, the motte hill on which the first Zoelen Castle was built in the twelfth century. This building was destroyed in 1362.
