Even more culture
This walking route owes its title,'from half-timbered to half-timbered\\\' to the numerous half-timbered buildings that Detmold and its surroundings are rich in. You will find them in the cozy center; the ideal place for a lunch break or a nice cup of coffee. If you want to see more of Detmold, you can get a free brochure of the city walk at the Tourist Information. The residence castle, residence of the Count of Lippe, and the monumental palace garden from the 18th century are also worth a visit.
