A tour through the Land van Maas & Waal

In the Land van Maas & Waal it is wonderfully quiet cycling. From the Maasdijk you have a beautiful view of the fruit orchards, characteristic farms and the Maas. You pass Tot Voordeel en Genoegen, a flour mill from 1798. In Maasbommel you will find a historic atmosphere thanks to the many old farms and the Reformed Church from 1842. At Appeltern you will pass Stoomgemaal De Tuut: the only one of the 34 steam pumping stations in the Gelderland river area that still exists. Although Horssen is relatively small, there are three churches on the Kerkpad! In the middle of the polders not only is a lot of fruit picked, but there is also a wonderfully refreshing silence. In Dreumel you pass the nameless, restored flour mill from 1845.
