Cycling through Noordwijk and the dunes

This route takes you through Noordwijk and the dunes. First you cycle along the bulb fields and the Oosterduinse Meer to Noordwijkerhout. Here you can admire the monumental Witte Kerkje from 1300. Further on you pass the landscape park of Landgoed Leeuwenhorst. In the old village centre of Noordwijk there are many monumental buildings, varying from simple houses to mansions. What a nice atmosphere! The Coepelduynen used to be a dune strip that was used as a field, to dry nets or as a pasture area. Nowadays the dunes form a varied nature reserve of dune grasslands, scrub and forest. In Noordwijk aan Zee you cycle along the boulevard, here you can see the monumental lighthouse among other things.
