Discover the Kampina from Oisterwijk

Your route starts at Restaurant Speijck, an ideal base if you want to explore the Oisterwijkse Vennen and the adjacent Kampina. You immediately enter the forests of the Oisterwijkse Vennen, where you cycle over slightly undulating and winding paths between the coniferous and deciduous trees. Just after you have crossed the Essche Stroom, you pass Kasteel Nemerlaer from the fourteenth century. Further on you cycle a bit through the Helvoirts Broek: a damp nature reserve with flowery meadows where many birds live. In villages such as Esch and Lennisheuvel you see monumental long-façade farms. A little later you drive into the Kampina, an extensive nature reserve where you can enjoy the silence on the heath. In Moergestel you cycle past the beautiful Sint Janskerk with its old tower.
