Description
Put on your hiking boots for a day full of variety. This route takes you through the Kampina, a vast nature reserve near Oisterwijk.

From the starting point you quickly walk into the Kampina, a vast nature reserve. The first part you walk through a mosaic of forest and farmland. And suddenly you are on the edge of a vast moorland. Wow! What a rest. In and around the fens you can find special plant species, such as sundew: a carnivorous plant.
Valley of the Beerze
On the edge of the Kampina you will find a mixture of forests, stream valleys and former agricultural land. You walk along the Banisveld, a semi-open landscape of bushes, thickets and flowery grasslands. You have a nice view of this from the watchtower. In the Dal van de Beerze you will also find plenty of variety between humid forests and grasslands. From node 23 you look out on swampy meadows that are allowed to flood. What a wonderful rugged landscape!
