Tour of Best, Middelbeers and Oirschot

Best is the starting point for this route full of natural and cultural beauty. After crossing the Wilhelmina Canal, you drive through Batadorp. This district was built in 1934 for the workers of the Bata shoe factory. The original buildings are considered a protected villagescape. From junction 49 you cross the forests of the Oirschotse Heide. Via Oostelbeers you go to Middelbeers. Get off here at Lunchroom & IJssalon Meesterlijk. You can enjoy an extensive and delicious lunch in the cozy garden before you cycle on to Landgoed Baest. You continue along the leafy canal bank to Oisterwijk. In the historic heart of this town you will see the fifteenth-century St. Peter's Basilica. Finally, you drive through the Mortelen, an authentic scenic landscape of poplar groves, coniferous forests and grasslands and arable lands.
