Walking through Oirschot and De Mortelen

It is wonderfully peaceful to walk here, ideal for a chat. From junction 10 you walk a bit into De Mortelen, a small-scale coulisse landscape of poplar groves, coniferous forests and grasslands and arable lands. The landscape is reminiscent of the Brabant farming nature from before the land consolidation. Oirschot is not without reason a protected village view. You will see many beautiful buildings there. Such as the sixteenth-century St. Peter's Basilica. Close to this church is Museum de Vier Quartieren, a museum with a fascinating story about life in Brabant in the past. Further on is the Mariakerk, a small building from the twelfth century. At the end of the route you will see the Korenaar again, a corn mill from 1857.
