Walking through Gronsveld and surroundings

Between the meadows and orchards you walk towards Gronsveld. Gronsveld Castle is located on the edge of this village. You will pass some characteristic farms and half-timbered houses. You also take a look at the medieval Sint-Martinuskerk. In the outside area you climb between the orchards to the Savelsbos. In this narrow, elongated hillside forest you walk between different trees. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal if you want to relax for a day. Savelsbos is known for the white flowering of the rare wild garlic, an onion-like plant that blooms in the spring. At the end of your route you will pass the Kinderboerderij Wieringenberg. The route starts and ends at De Kwizzenjer, where you can enjoy a snack and a drink after the tour.
