From Putten onto the Veluwe

Putten is a beautiful town in the Gelderse Vallei, on the edge of the Veluwe. An ideal base if you want to take a varied cycle tour through vast polders and vast forests and heathlands.

Gelderland Valley
In the Gelderse Vallei you cycle through a landscape of vast grasslands. You regularly see a characteristic farm here. At Group Accommodation De Aalbertshoeve you can do a fun activity, such as ball shooting. In Ermelo you will pass De Koe, a restored corn and peeling mill from 1863.

Leuvenumse Bos
In the Leuvenumse Bos you immediately experience that characteristic silence of the Veluwe. This gives you nice energy, cycling almost seems to happen automatically. Near the hamlet of Leuvenum you drive through an agricultural enclave of fields and hedgerows. Further on, the landscape suddenly opens up when you cycle from the forest into the Ermelose Heide.
