Description
Just outside Dieren you can take a nice walk through the countryside. You will find peace, space and the Gelderse Toren.
Gelderland Tower
The wide and bird-rich floodplains of the Gelderse IJssel form an ideal backdrop for relaxing. Soon you will pass the Gelderse Toren. The foundations of the current tower date from the thirteenth century. The building was renovated in 1868 in neo-Gothic style. There are also several other monumental buildings on the estate.

You walk out of the floodplains via a low-traffic road. You walk into a landscape that consists of a succession of fields, grasslands and coulisse forest. The road is lined with trees and shrubs, especially on hot days you have some shade here. Occasionally you pass an old farmhouse. It is nice and quiet walking here.
