Description
On the Veluwe you can take another long walk through the woods and heaths. You will also pass the monumental and striking Jachthuis St. Hubertus.
Spotting wildlife
The walk starts at Holiday Park De Rimboe and Woeste Hoogte , a beautiful holiday park where you can enjoy a wonderful stay in nature. You first walk a bit through Hoenderloo, a village that was founded in 1839. Then you walk into the vast forests. How quiet it is here on the Veluwe! You pass one of the game pulpits that have been built for spotting game. Be sure to bring your binoculars!
Kroller-Muller
Jachthuis St. Hubertus is the former country estate of the well-known couple Kröller-Müller. The building, inspired by English country houses, was designed in 1914 by the prominent architect Berlage. Not only the lock comes from his hand, but also the entire interior, the gardens, the service buildings and the bridge. The hunting lodge can be visited on a guided tour at set times. After your route you can enjoy something tasty in the restaurant of Holiday Park De Rimboe en Woeste Hoogte.
