Taste the silence in De Utrecht and Gorp & Rovert

Cycling in the Belgian-Dutch border area remains a treat. Especially because there are so many silent, vast forests. This route takes you through the Gorp & Rovert and De Utrecht estates.

De Utrecht estate
The route starts at Verblijfpark Tulderheyde. You will stay here in a comfortable place in the middle of nature in the Belgian-Dutch border area. After boarding you drive into the woods. You cross the border almost unnoticed, and a little later you cycle into the vast pine forests of Landgoed De Utrecht. You take a trip through Lage Mierde and Netersel where you will see some monumental long-facade farms. Then you drive back into De Utrecht.

Beautiful Hilvarenbeek
The surroundings of the Vrijthof in Hilvarenbeek enjoy a protected village view. Here you will see some stately mansions and the late Gothic St. Peter's Band Church from the fifteenth century. What a nice atmosphere! The Gorp & Rovert estate consists of old deciduous and coniferous forests. Here you will still find the characteristic silence of a wooded border area. The hamlets of Gorp and Rovert are located on the estate, where you will see, among other things, a monumental hunting lodge from 1870.
