Description
This route takes you across the Veluwe to the Posbank. Take your time to enjoy the view. Then you descend to the IJsselvallei and pass through Doesburg, one of the few Dutch towns that has been so well preserved.
Postbank
One of the most beautiful places on your route is the almost 90 meter high Posbank. You have a beautiful view of this moraine. In clear weather you can even look more than 20 kilometers away and see the hills of the Rijk van Nijmegen! How different is the landscape along the IJssel: you drive through vast grasslands here. Doesburg is a gem at the point where the Oude IJssel flows into the Gelderse IJssel.

At Restaurant de Peerdestal you can take a break during your tour and enjoy a well-deserved rest with a cup of coffee and something tasty. From here you can drive straight into the Veluwe. First you cycle through the rolling forests of the Middachten Estate. Here you cycle between oaks and beech trees, while enjoying the beams of sunlight that penetrate the foliage here and there. Further on you enter the adjacent Veluwezoom National Park, the nature reserve that was the first in the Netherlands to receive the status of a national park in 1930.
