Description
This route takes you across the Veluwe to the Posbank. Take the time to enjoy the view. Then you descend to the IJssel valley and pass through Doesburg, one of the few Dutch cities that have been preserved so well.
Posbank
One of the most beautiful places on your route is the almost 90 meters high Posbank. On this lateral moraine you have a magnificent view. In clear weather you can even see more than 20 kilometers away and see the hills of the Rijk van Nijmegen! How different is the landscape along the IJssel: you drive here through vast grasslands. Doesburg is a gem at the point where the Oude IJssel meets the Gelderse IJssel.

At Restaurant de Peerdestal you can get off during your trip and enjoy the well-deserved rest with a cup of coffee and something delicious. From here you can drive straight onto the Veluwe. First you cycle through the rolling woods of Landgoed Middachten. You cycle here between oaks and beeches, while enjoying the bundles of sunbeams that penetrate the foliage here and there. Further on you enter the adjacent Veluwezoom National Park, the nature reserve that was the first in the Netherlands to receive national park status in 1930.
