Description

A day of cycling across the Veluwe and you have fully charged the battery again. The Middachten Estate awaits you first. Many oaks and beech trees grow in this rolling area, and occasionally you also see conifers. In the middle of the forest you pass the Carolinahoeve: a farm from 1765 that is named after the daughter of stadtholder William IV. The Veluwezoom was declared the first national park in the Netherlands in 1930. Here you can enjoy a rolling landscape where you alternately drive through quiet forests and heathlands. From the Posbank you have a beautiful panorama. You will also drive through Beekbergen and Eerbeek. You pass some war monuments, just after junction 52 you pass the Middelste Molen from 1887. The route ends at Restaurant de Peerdestal.
