Veluwezoom National Park, an oasis of silence

A day of cycling on the Veluwe and you have fully recharged your battery. First up is Landgoed Middachten. Many oaks and beeches grow in this rolling area, and occasionally you will also see conifers. In the middle of the forest you will pass the Carolinahoeve: a farm from 1765 that was named after the daughter of stadtholder Willem IV. The Veluwezoom was declared the first national park in the Netherlands in 1930. Here you can enjoy a rolling landscape where you alternately cycle through quiet forests and heathlands. From the Posbank you have a beautiful panorama. You also cycle through Beekbergen and Eerbeek. You pass several war memorials, just after junction 52 you will pass the Middelste Molen from 1887. The route ends at Restaurant de Peerdestal.
