The beautiful landscape along the Dinkel

In the vicinity of the Dinkel, you cycle through the beautiful Twente countryside. You also briefly cross the border into Germany to discover a few charming villages.

Bad Bentheim
The route starts at Hotel & Restaurant Mössems . Next, you cycle to Denekamp, a village on the Dinkel where you can still experience genuine Twente hospitality. You will also see the 13th-century St. Nicholas Church there. It is wonderfully peaceful to cover many kilometers in the nature-rich countryside. Before you know it, you are cycling through Germany. Here, you will discover the charming towns of Bad Bentheim and Gildehaus.

Lutterzand
Back in the Netherlands, you cycle a stretch through the Lutterzand, a beautiful nature reserve along the Dinkel. The mixed forests smell wonderfully fresh, and you can also sense a refreshing silence. Further along, you encounter the Dinkel once more, specifically at Huis Singraven. It is a lovely spot to briefly enjoy the rippling water and the historic atmosphere. After dismounting, you round off your day in style with a treat at Mössems’ tea house.
