In the area surrounding the Dinkel you cycle through the beautiful Twente countryside. You also cross the border with Germany to discover a few charming places.
Bad Bentheim
The route starts at Hotel & Restaurant Mössems . Then you cycle to Denekamp, a village on the Dinkel where you can still experience the real Twente geniality. You will also see the thirteenth-century St. Nicholas Church. It is wonderfully peaceful to travel for miles in the natural countryside. Before you know it, you'll be driving through Germany. Here you will discover the nice towns of Bad Bentheim and Gildehaus.
Lutterzand
Back in the Netherlands you cycle through the Lutterzand, a beautiful nature reserve on the Dinkel. It smells nice and fresh in the mixed forests. You will also taste a refreshing silence. Further on you will encounter the Dinkel again, namely at Huis Singraven. A nice place to enjoy the rippling water and the historic atmosphere. After getting off, end your day in style with something tasty in the Mössems tearoom.
