Description
A beautiful route with two faces. First you drive through the vast forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The second part you cycle through the polders in the Kromme Rijnstreek.
National Park
From here you can drive straight onto the rolling Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In this national park you drive for many kilometers through the beautiful nature. Paths bordered by stately beeches, fragrant conifers: it is not difficult to switch back here. You will also see many stately buildings, such as in Zeist.
Country houses
You can also fully enjoy nature and cultural history in the Kromme Rijnstreek. You pass a few country houses, such as Kasteel Sterkenburg. Some country houses initially consisted only of a fortified residential tower and were only later embellished. The landscape here mainly consists of wide polders, occasionally you look out on a small forest. Just like on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, cycling here is also nice and quiet.
