Description
Walking on Noord-Beveland means enjoying peace and quiet and Zeeland views. This route takes you through the polders and through Kortgene.
The path soon leads you through the vast grasslands. It is nice to get a breath of fresh air here, while enjoying the high skies in which the clouds rarely linger for long.
Kortgene
From the polder you can see the fifteenth-century church tower of Kortgene. This is the only medieval building that survived the All Saints Flood of 1532 (which flooded the whole of Noord-Beveland). The leafy Hoofdstraat in Kortgene is a characteristically beautiful Zeeland street. At the end you pass the Korenbloem, a restored flour mill from 1873.
