Description
Walking on Noord-Beveland means enjoying peace and Zeeland views. This route takes you through the polders and Kortgene.
Soon the path leads you between the vast grasslands. It is nice to blow away the cobwebs here, while enjoying the high skies in which the clouds rarely hang for long.
Short gene
From the polder you can see the fifteenth-century church tower of Kortgene. This is the only medieval building that survived the All Saints' Flood of 1532 (which flooded the whole of Noord-Beveland). The leafy Hoofdstraat in Kortgene is a characteristically beautiful Zeeland street. At the end you pass the Korenbloem, a restored corn mill from 1873.
