Description
Roerdalen is a beautiful region in Central Limburg. Here you can walk in peace through the varied nature. This route takes you through the surroundings of Vlodrop and Posterholt.
Stir
Just outside Vlodrop you walk to the basin of the Roer. This tributary of the Meuse meanders beautifully through the landscape here. Meadows, fields and deciduous and coniferous forests stretch out around you. What a refreshing tranquility you will find here!
Lucky place
You will also find the typical geniality of Central Limburg in Posterholt. You can easily walk through the beautiful Main Street. In the outlying area you pass some old characteristic farms. You will also pass by Geluksplek 24 Roerdalen: The Weeping Willows of the Kerkberg. The chapel in the valley is under sky-high weeping willows and beeches. It was destroyed during World War II, but rebuilt by local residents.
