ED The wide green plains around Valkenswaard

The route starts in Borkel, a hamlet where there are still several Kempen long-facade farms.  You can also see St. Anthony Abbot here, a flour mill dating from 1865. A native garden has been created next to the mill, where traditional Kempen herbs and vegetables grow. It is wonderful to cycle in the quiet countryside. After a while you will pass the Venbergse Molen, a water mill on the Dommel that originally dates from 1227. Then the heathland and forests of the Leenderbos await you. The further you drive into the forest, the quieter it becomes. Even by Brabant standards it is quiet here. Delicious.
