ED From Eersel into the Kempen: Eersel - Westerhoven - Lommel

Endless forests, babbling streams and parts of a once wild heathland landscape await you when you cycle through the Kempen. In the past, peddlers walked the paths with their wares in this sparsely populated region. In the dark, people walked across the border with butter and cigarettes. You will pass sights such as the De Deen flour mill from 1839. In Bergeyk you will pass the Wellington HZ520 monument. This war memorial commemorates a crashed British bomber. The crash crater is still visible between the trees ten meters behind the monument.
