Description
Delft exudes a wonderful historical atmosphere. Ideal for a nice city walk. On the edge of neighboring Rijswijk you walk through a number of city parks.
Historical Delft
What a beautiful path: here you look out over the rippling water and beautiful buildings, such as the Gemaal van de Plaspoel- en Schaapweipolder from 1874. Further on you walk into the historic center of Delft. You will pass, among other things, the fourteenth-century Nieuwe Kerk with the mausoleum of William of Orange.
Elsenburgerbos
In Delft you can also walk through the Wilhelmina Park, a city park completed in 1932 and designed in the English landscape style. A little later you walk through the green belt that lies between Rijswijk and Delft. You walk through the Hoekpolder Park, after which you enter the Elsenburgerbos. In this beautiful city park you will find a backdrop of steep paths, lawns and rolling hills.
