Tour of the Sallandse Heuvelrug and Nijverdal

Cycling in Salland is ideal if you want to slow down for a day. This route takes you through the peaceful and diverse bocage landscape. It's a wonderful place to rack up the miles; it seems as if this beautiful area was created specifically for cyclists. You'll soon enter the forests on the edge of the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. Every now and then, you'll have beautiful views of the vast, rolling heathland. As you cycle, you'll see several characteristic Saxon farms. You'll cycle to Nijverdal via Haarle, where you can visit the sheepfold on the edge of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. A beautiful spot that will take you back in time!
