It is surprisingly quiet to walk in the countryside of Enschede. Put on your walking shoes for a beautiful tour through the farm landscape.
The Rutbeek
The route starts at Restaurant Hanninkshof in Usselo. Here you can enjoy a coffee and something tasty before walking into the countryside with its streams, bushes, fields and grasslands. What you will immediately notice: it is wonderfully quiet here! This authentic farming landscape is of course not without beautiful Saxon farms, you will come across a number of them. You will also pass Het Rutbeek, a natural recreation area around a sand quarry.
Usselerveld
You can take a break at Restaurant Hanninkshof before walking through the fields to the Usselerveld. You will find unprecedented peace and quiet in the heathland and forests of this nature reserve. Ideal to recharge the proverbial battery. Wissinks Möl was demolished in 1972, after which the individual parts were stored. After years of struggle over the rebuilding site, it was rebuilt at its current location in May 1981. In one day.
