Swalmen - Roermond

A varied walk from the village of Swalmen to the city of Roermond. The walk starts at the station of Swalmen. Then you walk through the center of the village along the Swalm to the countryside. First through the municipal forests and then through the forest area of Staatsbosbeheer. At Maalbroek you approach Roermond. Via a surprising detour you reach the least beautiful part of the route. You first pass a motorway to Germany, followed by the A73. Via a residential area and a municipal park you reach the central road past the Laurentius hospital. To reach the station, you first go through the station tunnel. Shortly afterwards, take the stairs up and you will reach the front of the station. The walk ends here.
