Walking around along the Lek

Your route starts at Theetuin and B&B Onder De Pannen. Walking along the dike you enjoy the view over the Lek with its reed collars and swamp forests on one side, while on the other side you look out over old farms. In Krimpen aan de Lek you cross the Lek with a ferry to Kinderdijk. Here you will see beautiful centuries-old houses in the Molenstraat. From the Lekdijk you have a beautiful view of the Hooge Boezem of the Overwaard, one of the polders that is drained by the famous Kinderdijkse Mills. These beautiful eighteenth-century mills, such as the Hoge Molen and Kleine Molen, are on the World Heritage List. From Nieuw-Lekkerland you cross the Lek again with a ferry: a wonderfully nostalgic feeling.
