Cycling through the head of Schouwen-Duiveland

In the head of Schouwen-Duivenland you can get a breath of fresh air. From Scharendijk you drive into the vast polder. Just past Moriaanshoofd you cycle along the Oosterschelde. You have a beautiful view over the water here. Further on you enter Boswachterij Westerschouwen, the largest forest in all of Zeeland. Halfway you will pass Boutique Hotel ter Zand and Grand Hotel Ter Duin. Here you can enjoy a snack and a drink before cycling through the seaside resort of Burgh-Haamstede. A replica of a medieval ring wall has been built near the ring road in Burgh. Around Renesse you drive through the dunes again, it is wonderfully quiet here. Finally, you will pass Mill't Hert from 1748. Further on is Mill De Lelie, which was built in 1868.
