Cycling through the head of Schouwen-Duiveland

You can get a breath of fresh air in the head of Schouwen-Duivenland. From Scharendijk you drive into the vast polder. Just past Moriaanshoofd you cycle along the Oosterschelde. You have a beautiful view of the water here. Further on you enter Boswachterij Westerschouwen, the largest forest in all of Zeeland. Halfway you pass Boutique Hotel ter Zand and Grand Hotel Ter Duin. Here you can settle down for a snack and a drink before cycling through the seaside resort of Burgh-Haamstede. A replica of a medieval ring rampart has been built at the ring in Burgh. Around Renesse you drive through the dunes again, it is wonderfully quiet here. Finally, you will pass Molen't Hert from 1748. Further on is Molen De Lelie, which was built in 1868.
