Picturesque Vollenhove
Soon after boarding, you will pass through the protected cityscape of Vollenhove. Especially in the Kerkstraat you can enjoy the historic atmosphere through the many old monumental buildings. What a nice discovery! Marknesse originated in 1942 from barrack camp Dorp B. As with most other towns in this region, the name comes from a lost medieval village.
Black Lake
At node 14 you will see a tree-covered elevation on the left in the landscape. This is Oud-Kraggenburg, a former artificial island in the Zuiderzee. Further on you can enjoy the view over the Zwarte Meer from the dike. What a beautiful route!
