Historic Geraardsbergen
At the start of this route you will immediately become acquainted with the beautiful center of Geraardsbergen. You cycle successively past St. Bartholomew's Church and St. Adrian's Abbey. The St. Bartholomew's Church is the largest church in Geraardsbergen and was built in the 15th century. It is possible to admire the church from the inside. Then pay attention to the impressive organ and the beautiful painted walls of the church and be enchanted. St. Adrian's Abbey is slightly older than St. Bartholomew's Church. This thousand-year-old abbey has not been completely preserved, but you can still admire the abbot's house, the gatehouse and the coach house.
