Historic Geraardsbergen
At the start of this route you will immediately become acquainted with the beautiful center of Geraardsbergen. You cycle successively past St. Bartholomew's Church and St. Adrian's Abbey. The Sint-Bartholomeuskerk is the largest church in Geraardsbergen and this church was built in the 15th century. It is possible to admire the inside of the church. Then pay attention to the imposing organ and the beautiful painted walls of the church and let yourself be enchanted. St Adrian's Abbey is slightly older than St Bartholomew's Church. This thousand-year-old abbey has not been completely preserved, but you can still admire the abbot's house, the gatehouse and the coach house.
A mosaic of nature
You then cycle through the green countryside of Geraardsbergen with a small Belgian town here and there. Nature here is formed by a mosaic of forests, flowery meadows and wet brushwood along the banks of streams. At the end of the route you will end up in Geraardsbergen again.

On the last part of the route you will pass the Rijksmiddelschool and Kaai. This imposing building is one of the most beautiful buildings in the entire city.
