Description
From Meerfietsen VOF in Nieuw-Vennep you can take a beautiful bike ride along pick-your-own locations and stalls along the road. Below Lisse you will discover the Lisserpoelmolen, a polder mill from 1676 in the. The mill is named after the Lisserpoelpolder on which it grinds. In Lisse itself you cycle past the Sint Agathakerk. A beautiful spot, it is not called the cathedral of the Bulb Region for nothing! A nice stop is Kasteel Keukenhof. This castle was built in 1642 as a country house for a former commander of the VOC. In the 19th century the castle was expanded and provided with two corner towers. The flower exhibition Keukenhof of the same name is held on part of the estate. Via Hillegom you cycle to Museum de Cruquius, another beautiful destination for a break.
