A round of bulb fields

Your cycling route starts at Hotel Villa Flora. Drink a cup of coffee here before you cycle into the flower bulb region. Your route takes you past Keukenhof, where you can also visit the seventeenth-century Keukenhof Castle. Furniture from all kinds of years and style periods can be viewed in the salons, so that you get a good idea of how the nobility used to live. Then you cycle through the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, a protected area that was established in 1853 as the first water extraction area in the Netherlands. In Aerdenhout, surrounded by forest, you will see many majestic villas. Further on you cycle through three beautiful connected country estates: Leyduin, Woestduin and Vinkenduin. Please note: part of this route runs through the grounds of Keukenhof. This park is only accessible from the end of March to the middle of May, for a fee.
