Description
The route starts at Horst-Sevenum station. After a short tour along the heesbeemden we end up via Sevenum on the'greenport bikeway\\\'. This cycle path runs along the railway line to Venlo and takes you across the Maas in Venlo in a short time. You can take a first rest on the Maasboulevard (just over the Maas) with a beautiful view over the Maas.
Cycling straight through Venlo, with a short climb, you reach the Venlose Heide. Past the German border and the glider airfield we cross the border a bit further towards Straelen. We then leave the busy road to end up in the center of Straelen in Germany via a number of surprising roads. An ideal place for your next rest stop or a bite to eat.
From Straelen the route continues towards the Netherlands. The route goes via cycle paths through the beautiful forest area towards Arcen, an ideal place to enjoy an ice cream along the Maas. From Arcen towards the Hertog Jan beer brewery, where the Meuse is crossed via the ferry between Arcen and Broekhuizen. Horst-Sevenum station can be reached again via the nature reserves between Broekhuizen and Melderslo and near Hegelsom.
