Description
Between Breda and Roosendaal you cycle through beautiful old towns, such as Etten and Zevenbergen. In the countryside you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the vast polders.
The Mark
The route starts on the edge of Zevenbergen. From the parking lot you can drive straight into the polders. What immediately stands out here: the peace and vastness. In this part of Brabant the landscape is dominated by streams, the river De Mark and extensive marine clay polders. A beautiful backdrop for your bike ride! In the Zegge area, almost all roads and canals are straight and run from west to east: a remnant from the mining period.
Zwartenbergse Mill
You cycle past the Heimolen, a flour mill from 1844. Time seems to have stood still a bit on the Markt in Etten, you see beautiful old buildings! Such as the Catharina Church, a medieval hall church with a tower from 1771. The Zwartenbergse Molen is a polder mill from 1889. At the end of the route you pass through the pleasant Zevenbergen.
