Description
Between Breda and Roosendaal you cycle through beautiful old towns, such as Etten and Zevenbergen. In the countryside you enjoy the peace in the wide polders.
The Mark
The route starts at the edge of Zevenbergen. From the parking lot you drive straight into the polders. What is immediately noticeable here: the peace and the vastness. In this part of Brabant the landscape is dominated by streams, the river De Mark and vast sea clay polders. A beautiful setting for your bike ride! In the area around Zegge almost all roads and waterways are straight and run from west to east: a remnant from the reclamation period.
Zwartenbergse Mill
You cycle past the Heimolen, a corn mill from 1844. Time seems to have stood still a bit at the Markt in Etten, you see beautiful old buildings! Such as the Catharinakerk, a medieval hall church with a tower from 1771. The Zwartenbergse Molen is a polder mill from 1889. At the end of the route you come through the pleasant Zevenbergen.
