Description
This beautiful route takes you through Landscape Park Maashorst: a succession of smaller diverse nature areas. Put on your walking shoes for a trip through the beautiful Brabant countryside!
Forest and farmland
You will see deciduous and coniferous trees here, but also many shrubs and plants. What immediately stands out: the tranquility! An ideal nature reserve to recharge the proverbial battery. The name also refers to the period when the Meuse flowed here 125,000 years ago.
Cultural landscape
Part of the route you also walk through authentic farmland with fields, wet grasslands, fruit groves and wooded banks. In the hamlet of Loo you pass a few characteristic farms. On a green spot in Nistelrode you can see the Windlust, a flour mill that originally dates back to 1532! In 1974 it was moved to its current location.
