Description
This beautiful route takes you through Maashorst Landscape Park: a series of smaller, diverse nature reserves. Put on your walking shoes for a trip through the beautiful Brabant nature!
Forest and farmland
Here you will see deciduous and coniferous trees, but also many shrub species and plants. What is immediately noticeable: the peace and quiet! An ideal nature reserve to recharge the proverbial battery. The name refers to the period when the Maas flowed here 125,000 years ago.
Cultural landscape
Part of the route also takes you through authentic farmland with fields, wet grasslands, fruit orchards and hedgerows. In the hamlet of Loo you pass some characteristic farms. In a green spot in Nistelrode you can see the Windlust, a flour mill that originally dates from 1532! It was moved to its current location in 1974.
