Ravenstein is ideal for a beautiful walk. You can stroll through the historic city center. In the countryside you walk through the polders and the floodplains along the Maas.
St. Lucia Church
Here you will see, among other things, the St. Lucia Church from 1735, which was built with the proceeds of a lottery. There are many old monumental buildings in Sint-Luciastraat, it seems as if you are walking back in time here. The Town Hall is an eighteenth-century patrician house, the Kasteelsepoort is the only remnant of the medieval Ravenstein Castle, which was demolished in 1818.
Maasdijk
In the floodplains along the Maas it is wonderfully quiet to walk on the footpath. Here you can fully enjoy the unspoilt nature along the river. At the bottom of the Maasdijk you will see some characteristic old farms. In Neerlangel you will pass the St. John the Baptist Church, the tuff walls of the tower date from the original eleventh-century church building. From the Stationssingel you look out over the canal that was once part of the demolished city fortress.
