Cycling through Uden and Maashorst Landscape Park

Your route starts at Brasserie & B&B De Valkhoeve Mill. The Maashorst consists of different landscape types. You cycle through coniferous forests, heathlands and fens, but also authentic farmland with fields, wet grasslands and hedgerows. The name of this area refers to the period when the Maas flowed here 125,000 years ago. You cross the Langenboomse Bossen on the cycle path. Beautiful orchids grow in some open spaces during the season. A little later you cycle past some lakes that were created by stone and gravel extraction. Further on you pass through the Trentse Bossen: a dry sandy area where mainly Scots pine and American oak grow. Uden is the largest town on your route. You will see several monumental buildings and the striking St. Peter's Church from 1890.
