Walking through Almere Buiten

Almere Buiten is easy to explore on foot. Put on your walking shoes for a surprising tour through this part of Almere.

Urban nature
You will soon be walking through one of the many strips of urban nature that you will find throughout Almere. It is wonderfully quiet walking here. You would almost think you are walking through a vast forest instead of one of the largest cities in the Netherlands.

Low Sail
You walk a bit along the Kottertocht, one of the many canals that give Almere extra charm. Further on you walk along the leafy Lage Vaart, a canal that flows from the Ketelmeer to the Markermeer. A wonderful piece to chat with your fellow hiker(s). You walk into the Landgoederenbuurt, a neighborhood where streets are named after estates. Here, too, it is immediately noticeable how'green\\\' Almere has been set up. What a nice walk here!
