Tour of Almelo from Markelo

Your route starts at Holiday Park Buitencentrum Hessenheem. Today you will take a tour to Almelo, where it is surprisingly fun to cycle through the old city center with its striking Gravenallee. You drive to Rijssen via the Borkeld nature reserve. In cozy Almelo you can experience some cultural history. You will pass the beautiful Grote Kerk and the Stadboerderij het Wevershuisje, which is located in a farm from the early 1600s. You will cycle out of the city over the Gravenallee via the 3.5 kilometer long driveway of Huize Almelo. There are several monumental farms in a park-like setting along the path. You cycle back to your starting point via Bornerbroek. You will also pass through Enter, the village of clog makers. On the Brink is the largest clog in the world, made from one piece of wood.
